Today is the last farmer's market of the summer! I can't believe that it has gone by so fast. The harvest fest is just two weeks away and then the holidays are right around the corner.

Today's menu includes:

Sweet Potato Pie
Apple Pie
Pumpkin Cheesecake
Apple Carmel cupcakes

Welcome to Mimi's Sweet Things Blog!

I am so excited to have finally created a blog for my little at home bakery. I have always loved baking pies! My Mother has always made fantastic pies from crust to filling! She started teaching me how to put together a pie from a very young age! It wasn't until my Sister was getting married ( and on a budget) that I started to learn how to make cupcakes and wedding cakes! I was so honored to have made her wedding cake! Since then, I have had the pleasure to make graduation cakes, birthday cakes, mother's day cakes, father's day cakes, anniversary cakes and even our local Catholic Church's 125 year celebration cake.

I now sell my pies, cupcakes and other good stuff at two locations. One location is at Rejays Farm in Cranbury, NJ and the other is every Friday at the Hightstown Farmer's Market.

I will be using this blog to keep everyone informed on what types of pies and cupcakes I will be making for the week and where you can find them!

I will also use this blog to take holiday pie and cake orders through the end of the year. I hope to keep you all updated as we kick off the Holidays for 2010!

I will be attending the Hightstown Harvest Fest on Oct. 9th. If you would like to reserve a pie please e-mail me with your order and I will have one reserved.
